U16 - AS Academy to select U16 for the Domestic Tour |

AS Academy will select the U16 players from the AS Academy to form AS-XI. Performance will be the key going forward as the players and the squad of AS-XI will be of 15 players in total but for the 1st tour there will be 12 players who will take part in the 1st hardball 20 overs match. The game will be played as per the ICC rules and regulations. This will be a domestic tour and players will be selected once the players for the availability give the confirmation and extra sessions will be held for them with the hardball with sessions in the nets before the final 12 are announced. The match will be on 5th June 2021 and team will either leave a day in advance with overnight stay and play the match and all logistic details will be shared once we have had the net sessions. This is a great opportunity for the kids to have a tour where only they will be focused although it the past there have been tours with the seniors teams but not just for the youth. Aasif Sheikh the chairman said "AS Academy aims to provide the platform from the resources and facilities available and to make the most of these to work on the youth and develop them further to be part of the senior teams. From the AS Academy there are 3 players who are already part of the senior team and in cricket there is no age limit as long as you are able to deliver".
