1st May Riyadh - AS Academy 2nd Youth Ramadan Floodlights Tournament started and there were 2 matches on the opening day. Match 1 was played between AS-Titans and AS-Falcon and fter AS-Titans won the toss and decided to bowl first to take the advantage of the new ball. They started of well as AS-Falcon lost their key players in the 1st work which meant that they were not able to put a decent fighting total on the board. AS-Falcon only managed to get 27 runs on the board and in AS-Titans were too strong although they lost 1 wicket earlier but they won the match in style. Match 2 was between AS-Shaheen and AS-Stallions and after AS-Stallions won they toss they decided to ball. AS-Shaheen lost an early wicket by not calling for a single and then they begin to stable the innings and managed to get to 39. In reply AS-Stallion lost few wickets and match was getting exiting where in the last over 6 runs were noted on 6 balls but the bowler couldn't control and pressure made him bowl wides which gave victory to AS-Stallions. Wide balls need to be controlled by the teams as in 2 matches we have had 44 wides so far. |
